    1. 1778

      The  Polish constitutional reformer and educationalist Hugo Kołłątaj postulate to create the Department of Agriculture as part of projected reform of the Main Royal School (Szkoła Głowna Koronna)

    2. 1806-1809

      The Department of Agricultural Economy was established at the Main Royal School (Szkoła Głowna Koronna), but only for a period of 3 years

    3. 1890-1923

      Agricultural College was established at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University

    4. 1923

      The Agricultural College  became a Faculty of Agriculture of the Jagiellonian University

    5. 1939-1945

      Studies at the faculty was interrupted by World War II, underground studies and clandestine teaching were organized during this years

    6. 1946-1949

      Forestry was added to the faculty, becoming  Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry of the Jagiellonian University

    7. 1949

      The Faculty of Forestry was established as an autonomous unit

    8. 1953-1972

      The Faculty of Agriculture became an autonomous and independent entity of the JU acquiring the status of Agricultural College in Krakow

    9. 1953

      Faculty of Zootechnics (currently Faculty of Animal Breeding and Biology) is stablished

    10. 1955

      aculty of Water Reclamation (currently Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy) is stablished

    11. 1963

      The Forest Department is reactivated

    12. 1968

      Faculty of Horticulture (currently Faculty of Biotechnology and Horticulture) is stablished

    13. 1972

      College of Agriculture in Krakow acquires the status of a academy, becoming a  Agricultural Academy in Krakow (Akademia Rolnicza)

    14. 1977

      Faculty of Agricultural Technology and Energy (currently Faculty of Production Engineering and Energy) is stablished

    15. 1978

      The university is renamed in honour of the first reformer and takes on the official name of Agricultural University Hugo Kołłątaj in Krakow

    16. 1994

      Faculty of Food Technology is stablished

    17. 2008

      Agricultural Academy changed into University of Agriculture in Krakow (Uniwersytet Rolniczy) becoming in the only University of Agriculture in Poland.
